For Immediate Release
Boulder, Colorado, October 3, 2009 - Adventures in Preservation’s hands-on holidays were highlighted in Travel with a Challenge’s October/November web magazine. The spotlight article focused on AiP’s 2010 volunteer vacation itinerary and gave special mention to AiP’s new family-oriented vacation, involving a week-long immersion in the American Old West mining town of Nevada City, Montana.
Adventures in Preservation was named as a “respected volunteer heritage conservation non-profit”, providing volunteer participants with the opportunity to work with local communities in Kenya, Albania, Slovenia, Armenia and the U.S.
The Travel with a Challenge article noted that AiP had recently changed its name from Heritage Conservation Network, and “the name change highlights the participant experience and reflects the critical role that workshop participants play in each project’s success.”
