Kenneth Tappan, a brick mason specializing in historic structures, was recently hired to lead masonry stabilization efforts at Rosewell. He will lead AiP jammers in work on the Rosewell ruin, sharing his masonry stabilization skills as hands-on work is undertaken.   

Jammers will also learn the basics of excavating techniques as we work on an archaeological dig near the ruins. Instructors will be Dr. David Brown and Thane Harpole, co-directors of The Fairfield Foundation. The goal is to uncover valuable information on the lives of both the Page family and the enslaved community.
