Conservation of Telford’s Great Arch
Dates: April 10-24, 2027
Cost: $1990/week per person for double room
Learn hands-on conservation skills as you repoint bridge stonework in the central arch of the 1815 Telford bridge and support sustainable tourism in Scotland.
Adventures in Preservation volunteers/jammers have come to Dunans Castle in Scotland since 2018, tackling hands-on building conservation of the castle courtyard and the Telford bridge. Progress is impressive! The April session will see jammers, along with enthusiasts from Scottish organizations, join forces to complete work on the bridge. Join us for conservation of the bridge’s Great Arch. We’ll be led by our amazing instructor, Eland Stuart, learning the value of lime as we perfect the art of repointing. No experience necessary.
